'Z Nation' Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 6 May Reveal A Traitor; What Will Happen To Lucy In 'Zombie Baby Daddy'?
As if last week’s over-the-top episode of Syfy’s “Z Nation” didn’t prove it enough, the gang known as Operation Bite Mark has some serious trust issues. It looks like that will be the focal point of Season 2, episode 6 as the intrepid group of heroes deals with their newest team member and a possible traitor in their midst in "Zombie Baby Daddy."
Now that Murphy’s (Keith Allan) past has come back to bite him, almost literally, Op B is tasked with keeping his child, who is clearly a half-zombie half-human hybrid, alive while they continue their mission to bring him to California. Meanwhile, their second newest member, Vasquez (Matt Cedeno), seems to be working on an agenda of his own, which the group’s leader Warren (Kellita Smith) is determined to figure out.
“Murphy's parental instincts kick in as he grows quite attached to Little Miss Murphy Jr., while the rest of the team can't help but wonder if there's more to this child than meets the eye,” the episode’s synopsis reads (via TV Guide). “Elsewhere, Warren follows Vasquez to a secret meeting; and Cassandra forces 10K to make a difficult decision.”
It was revealed last week that Vasquez, who only really gained membership to the group after trying to kill them several times while hunting Murphy for the bounty, is still untrustworthy. He’s been listening in the radio chatter of the Zeros, the mysterious drug gang that held everyone at the lab in Minneapolis hostage before capturing the infamous Dr. Kurian (Donald Corren). It’s unclear what kind of meeting he’s attending, but it’s possible that he’s not given up on the idea of selling the group out to the Zeros to collect the bounty on the Murphy for himself.
Meanwhile, the group will finally address the zombie baby-sized elephant in the room, Murphy’s “child” Lucy. In the preview clip, available on the official “Z Nation” website, Addy (Anastasia Baranova), 10K (Nat Zang), Doc (Russell Hodgkinson) and Warren discuss what to do about Lucy and whether or not she’s actually a human being worth saving. After all, the zombies are inexplicably attracted to her and Murphy hasn’t exactly been himself since she was born. Not to mention the fact that the group already encountered a zombie baby in episode 1 of the series and, to put it mildly, it didn’t go well.
Will the team abandon Lucy? Is Vasquez going to betray Operation Bite Mark? What is Citizen Z (DJ Qualls) even doing anymore? Fans will just have to wait until “Z Nation” episode 6, “Zombie Baby Daddy,” premieres Friday at 10 p.m. EDT on Syfy to find out.
