Zac Efron Admits He Dropped Condom at Red Carpet Event

Yes, that was a condom dropped by Dr. Seuss 'The Lorax' star Zac Efron during the film's red carpet premiere, and Efron had no qualms admitting it during a light-hearted appearance on the Today show.

Efron copped to dropping the condom during the red carpet event while discussing his latest movie with Today host Matt Lauer.

You want to take me through what happened? Lauer asked Efron. You want to just give me a hint as to what happened? You dropped something on the red carpet.

I did, I did, Efron responded. And [we] never really had a pocket checking policy prior to going on to the red carpet before but now we fully instated one.

Lauer suggested that Efron was being a good example for adoring fans of the Hairspray star by promoting safe sex.

You dropped a condom on the red carpet, which I think gives you at least ... it gives you credit. Better to be safe than sorry, right? Lauer said.

That's a great message to add to the many messages in the film, the 17 Again star said with a smile.
