Zara Tindall snubbed Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday.

On Saturday, the royal family reunited for Trooping the Colour. Most of the members of the Firm were there, but Princess Anne’s daughter and her family were nowhere to be seen. Zara reportedly skipped the event for a horse show.

According to Hello!, Zara and her family missed the event because she was competing in the Bramham International Horse Trial on the same day. The family are big fans of horse trials, Mike and their two children Mia and Lena were there to cheer her. Their absence wasn’t a big deal to many royal fans though, since they do not attend the Trooping the Colour annually. However, they were there during the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The recent Trooping the Colour had several highlights including Prince Louis’ debut on the Buckingham Palace balcony and Meghan Markle’s return following baby Archie’s birth. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s youngest son stole the show with his wave.

Aside from Prince Louis’ adorable wave, many also noticed how he loves to suck his thumb. One video shared on Twitter saw Middleton trying to stop his son from doing the bad habit. However, the little royal didn’t back down and he put back his thumb in his mouth.

“Let me alone woman! I just want to suck my thumb! He’s definitely a prince who knows how to defend his rights,” the online user wrote in the caption.

Many find the clip adorable and hilarious. Other netizens also noticed Princess Charlotte’s wave and compared it to a “windshield.”

Weeks before Trooping the Colour, Zara and Mike stepped out with their kids and the Cambridges. During their outing, Prince William had his goddaughter Mia Tindall on his shoulders. On the other hand, Prince George perched on Mike’s shoulder. Middleton was also photographed giving Princess Charlotte a piggyback ride.

Aside from bonding with uncle Mike, Prince George was seen doing a high five with aunt Zara. The two were also photographed hugging each other, which only showed how close they are.

Mike revealed in a past interview that the new generation of young royals is close. He is hoping that they will grow up as good friends.
