Zara Tindall Urged Mike To Message Her After He ‘Snubbed’ Her At Bar
Zara Tindall was very much interested in Mike Tindall, and she didn’t waste time letter him know this.
Years ago, the two met at a bar while Mike was going through a hard time. In “60 Minutes,” Zara said that she first saw her husband at a bar in Australia. At that time, the dad of two was drinking with two of his male friends while drowning in his sorrows.
During his interview with Daily Mail, Mike shared more details from his encounter with Tindall years ago.
“She was on her gap year and in Australia with friends. Clive (Woodward, the coach) had just told me I was dropped for the semi-final, so I went out for a beer with two others who weren’t playing, Martin Corry and Austin Healey. Zara was in the same bar; we got introduced but didn’t speak that much… Later on, Austin gave me her number and said, ‘She wants you to text her, to say where you’re all going out after the final so she can come along,’” he said.
After Mike sent his wife a text message, things just evolved between them. When they returned to the United Kingdom, they made their relationship official. Tindall also invited her husband to join him at the North Cotswold Ball, which was a sign that relationship was going towards the right direction.
Eight years after they started dating, the couple tied the knot at Edinburgh’s Canongate Kirk on July 30, 2011. Tindall wore a stunning Stuart Parvin dress for her big day, and her dad, Captain Mark Phillips was also the one who walked her down the aisle.
The senior members of the royal family including Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip made it to her royal wedding. Years after the couple sealed the deal, they welcomed their first child, Mia, 5. Last year, the couple welcomed their second child, Lena.
