Billboard hosted a celebration Thursday in conjunction with the publication of the magazine’s Power 100 List, which recognizes the top executives in the music industry.
The annual Grammy week gala honored Spotify founder and CEO Daniel Ek, who was awarded with the No. 1 power player honor and Epic Records Chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who was recognized with the Clive Davis Visionary Award. Power Artist honorees The Weeknd, Zayn Malik, DJ Khaled, Desiigner and Blink-182 were also acknowledged for their achievement in not only reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but for their incredible influence on pop music in 2016.
Other attendees included Kelsea Ballerini, Fifth Harmony’s Normani, Labrinth, BJ The Chicago Kid, Dua Lipa, Skylar Grey, Jane Zhang, Clive Davis, L.A. Reid, Troy Carter, Stefan Blom, Jody Gerson, Scott Borchetta, Bozoma Saint John, Neil Portnow and Jennifer Breithaupt,
The event was presented by American Airlines, Citi, Nielsen Music and Hilton.
