Zayn Malik’s Girlfriend Perrie Edwards Shows Off Diamond Ring At One Direction’s 'This Is Us' Premiere

Perrie Edwards of the band Little Mix and One Direction’s Zayn Malik might be engaged, if rumors doing the rounds are true.

Edwards flashed a diamond ring on her engagement finger during One Direction’s “This Is Us” film premiere in London's Leicester Square on Tuesday, sparking speculation that the singers might be heading down the aisle pretty soon.

Representatives of the Little Mix singer and the One Direction heartthrob have not confirmed the news, but Edwards’ mom, Debbie Dufty, confirmed to Dorset Echo that the couple are indeed engaged, and said that a date for the wedding has not been set yet. “It's official. I'm over the moon. They are really in love,” Dufty told Dorset Echo.

A source told Mirror that Malik popped the question last weekend. "It was so romantic - Zayn popped the question over the weekend when they were alone together. It's one of the first weekends they've spent with each other, as they've both been on tours with their bands. He wanted to wait for the perfect moment," the source told Mirror.

The source continued: "All her bandmates were at V Festival, and she couldn't wait to tell them. They're all really excited for her, as the rest of One Direction are for Zayn."

Malik and Edwards met on the sets of The X Factor in 2011, and they have been dating since then. Their relationship went through a rough patch early this year when Courtney Webb, a waitress, claimed she spent the night with Malik at his London home.

But, Malik recently claimed that his relationship was "stronger than ever," and he got a picture of Edwards tattooed on his arm to proclaim his love for the singer. "She loved it, she thinks it's good. It's a good sign,” Mirror quoted Malik as saying about the inking.

"She was shocked at first but loves it now. She thinks I'm crazy, like everyone else does. To be fair, I am a little bit crazy... I'm happy to be labelled the crazy one of the group."
