Zendaya's Rumored Old Flame Jacob Elordi Reacts To Her Emmy Win: 'Congratulations Captain'

Zendaya's rumored former flame Jacob Elordi didn't forget to send a sweet congratulatory message to his co-star after she won the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama series.

Elordi, who plays Nate Jacobs in the hit HBO series “Euphoria,” took to Instagram Stories to congratulate the actress, whom he was linked to for months.

The “Kissing Booth” star posted a photo of Zendaya in character as Rue, along with the message, “Congratulations captain. Bravo.”

Elordi's post came after Storm Reid, who plays Zendaya's little sister in “Euphoria,” Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow and Barbie Ferreira showered the history-making actress with messages of love and support following her Emmy win.

Rumors of Zendaya and Elordi dating first surfaced in February when they were spotted kissing in New York. This was followed by other paparazzi pictures of them being sweet and cuddly while out and about.

“Jacob and Zendaya have been seeing each other for months now. They started as close friends but it became romantic after their show ended,” a source told E! News at the time.

The tipster further claimed that Elordi and Zendaya had been “inseparable” since last summer and had been “making time for each other in between projects.” The former Disney child star’s family had also met the actor, the insider added.

During the summer, Elordi and Zendaya vacationed together in Greece, prompting fans to speculate that they were dating.

However, in an interview with GQ a few months after this sighting, the Australian actor seemingly laid the dating rumors to rest when he said Zendaya is “like my sister.”

“She's an incredible artist and a very caring person to all of us. But we're all really close,” Elordi added.

Zendaya also called him “best friend” when she presented him the rising star award during the American Australian Association Arts Awards. Neither of them addressed the issue nor revealed the real score.

Elordi has been constantly photographed with model Kaia Gerber this month. Both of them were a no-show in this year’s Emmys, but it is worth noting that they were spotted vacationing in Los Cabos, Mexico, along with her parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.

Kaia and Elordi were first seen together having dinner at Nobu in Malibu on Sept. 1. A source claimed that the two have known each other for a while. but “there is nothing serious going on there.”
