Thanks to One Direction fans, the term "Zouis," which is a combination of Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson's names, is trending on Twitter.

The trend began after Malik posted a video of himself singing "Night Changes" to Instagram on Monday, following which former boy band member Tomlinson liked the post Tuesday. Since then, Twitter users began to trend "Zouis" on the social media platform.

One of the fans shared a screenshot of the post, showing the proof that it was liked by Tomlinson's Instagram account that goes by louist91 handle.

Another fan shared a screenshot of the new post as well as an older post that Malik made in June, which was also liked by Tomlinson. In the old post, Malik sang another One Direction's song, "You & I" from the music album, "Midnight Memories," which was originally dropped in 2014.

A Twitter user also shared throwback photos of the singers during the time they were together in the boy band.

"Night Changes" from the music album, "Four" was also originally released in 2014 before Malik left the boy band in 2015. One Direction was active from 2010 to 2016. It originally had five members, including Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan.

After Malik, Styles also left the band. Now, all the members have their individual careers.

Tomlinson spoke about the reunion of the band members last month. While the singer didn't rule out the possibility, he'd noted it is "impossible" to know when it will happen.

"I'll be pretty gutted if it's not, like definitely," Tomlinson told 7news' Sunrise in July, Billboard reported. "What's the impossible question to answer is when. I've got no idea, but I'd be really, really surprised if one day we didn't. It would be a waste."

When the singer was asked how he felt about individual careers of the boy band members, he shared it was "nice" and made him feel "proud."

"It's nice to be able to watch on and I think what's great or what makes me proud, is everyone's kind of gone on their own individual journey musically and kind of created this identity," he said.
