Fox series “Bones” is saying goodbye to fans after 12 long years. The storylines of Seeley Booth, Dr. Temperance Brennan, Dr. Camille “Cam” Saroyan, Dr. Jack Hodgins and James Aubrey come to close in 2017.

What could be a fitting series finale title for the long-running crime procedural? According to SpoilerTV, the series finale of “Bones” is titled “The End In The End.” Several fans have commented that it is a fitting title for the last episode of the final season.

Of course, saying goodbye to a beloved TV show is never easy for fans. The good news is that the last 12 episodes of “Bones” will give fans a chance to bid adieu to the series. An epic serial killer storyline awaits viewers. The Puppeteer emerged as the main villain last season. Hopefully, Season 12 will reveal the real identity of The Puppeteer.

Although it seemed like Brennan’s (Emily Deschanel) former squintern Zack Addy (Eric Millegan) is the notorious murderer when he kidnapped her, “Bones” has yet to confirm whether he is the season’s big bad.

Apart from an epic serial killer storyline, “Bones” Season 12 promises a wedding – something tells us its Cam (Tamara Taylor) and Arastoo (Pej Vahdat) and an undercover operation that takes place in a lumberjack competition.

Several guest stars are scheduled to appear in the upcoming episodes. These stars include Betty White as Dr. Beth Mayer, Stephen Fry as chef Gordon Wyatt, Eddie McClintock as Sully, Ed Asner and Hal Hoolbrook.

In a teaser trailer of “Bones,” Booth looks visibly angry and upset when he learns that his wife has been taken hostage by Zack. He is determined to get his family back.

Booth’s marriage with Brennan will be tested in the upcoming season, but it’s obvious that the couple will emerge stronger than ever before the show wraps up.

“Bones” Season 12, the final season, premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
