Rizzoli & Isles
Jane and Maura investigate a funeral director's murder in "Rizzoli & Isles" Season 7, episode 11 "Stiffed." TNT

TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles” solves interesting cases while gradually concluding the stories of Boston Homicide Detective Jane Rizzoli and Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Maura Isles in Season 7. As the show approaches its end, familiar faces turn up. In episode 11, two such old well-known characters turned up in “Rizzoli & Isles.”

“Stiffed” began with Jane (Angie Harmon) breaking the news to her mother Angela (Lorraine Bracco) that she has taken a teaching position at the FBI Academy at Quantico. Angela is, of course, sad to see her go but is nonetheless supportive. Maura (Sasha Alexander), on the other hand, is excited to be a tourist in Washington, D.C.

The case

Jane, Maura, Frankie (Jordan Bridges), Korsak (Bruce McGill) are called to investigate a John Doe. The Hendersons were burying their deceased grandmother casket when they found another body inside. Nobody has any idea who this mysterious person is. Finally, the Boston Police find out that John Doe is actually the funeral director, Sam Mason.

The police visit the funeral home and find out that his sister also works for the funeral home and is a partner. She and her brother started the business and toiled hard.

Surprisingly, Sam’s sister Kate did not know that her brother was going to sell the business. Jane and Korsak come up with a theory that maybe his sister found out that he is selling their business and decided to kill him. However, that theory was debunked the minute they found out that she had a strong alibi. Then who killed Sam Mason?

The investigation

Meanwhile, the police find another body. In fact, the cops find out four more bodies that are sloppily covered in other people’s gravesites. This leads them to speculate that either Sam Mason was a serial killer or was helping another serial killer cover their tracks and destroy evidence by taking care of the bodies.

Frankie proposes Nina!

Wedding bells are going to toll in TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles.” Frankie proposed Nina Holiday (Idara Victor) and she said yes! What better way to end the crime series than by having a wedding.

Tommy and T.J. return!

Wedding wasn’t the only good news announced on the crime procedural. Tommy Rizzoli and his son T.J. returned to Boston after things didn’t work out with Lydia. Tommy told his family that Lydia fell for someone else and he decided to make a clean break.

Tommy had initially decided to just crash with his family for some time. But, towards the end of Season 7, episode 11, he decided to move to Boston temporarily and let his mother help him take care of little T.J. Looks like Angela won’t be suffering from empty nest syndrome after all.

The murderer

Back to the case, Nina finds out that all the victims’s cell phones had the number of a modeling agency. A little investigating reveals that all the victims are models. Jane also discovers that all the dead models had the same background in their photos. Which means, the same photographer took all their photos.

A search warrant at the photographer’s apartment reveals that his name is Eddie and he loves to take shots of his victims while they are dying. The police nab Eddie just when he is about the claim his next victim in his studio.

Kate Mason reveals that Eddie is actually a family friend who lost his parents when he was 16 years old. Ever since then, her brother would watch over him.

It turned out that Eddie threatened to kill Kate if Sam didn’t hide the bodies. Sam went along with it till it was too much and he wanted to sell the business.
