Paris Jackson is taking a break for a while for her emotional wellbeing and has entered a treatment facility to seek help for her issues.

According to Entertainment Tonight, sources confirmed that the daughter of the late Michael Jackson is prioritizing her health and taking some time off after a busy year of traveling around the world for various work engagements.

"[Paris] decided that she needed to take some time off to reboot, realign and prioritize her physical and emotional health," a source close to the model told the outlet. “She checked herself into a treatment facility to aid in her wellness plan."

Jackson is reportedly hoping to be "revitalized" by the time her treatment is done and will get back to working on her upcoming projects when it is over.

In a previous interview with Rolling Stone back in 2017, Jackson talked about her depression and her suicide attempt at the age of 15. She also revealed that she used to cut herself and would hide it from her family.

"It was just self-hatred, low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn't do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore," she confessed of taking 20 Motrin tablets and slashing her wrist.

Jackson said that her depression only worsened after she entered a private school in seventh grade. She revealed that she didn't fit in with the other kids in her year, so she spent more time with older people "doing a lot of crazy things."

The model admitted that she had done things at the time that 15-year-olds should not have done. Jackson described her younger self as "actually crazy" and said she had been dealing with her mental and emotional issues alone.

"I tried to grow up too fast, and I wasn't really that nice of a person," Jackson said.

In June 2013, Jackson had been rushed to the hospital after the suicide attempt following a long battle with self-abuse, depression and drug addiction. This was apparently the turning point for her as she immediately entered a residential therapy program after this episode, People reported.

In the Rolling Stone interview, Jackson also revealed that she had sexually assaulted by a "complete stranger" when she was a teen. The model chose not to give out details of the horrific incident, but she admitted that she did not tell anyone at that time and had no support.
