15-Year-Old Girl Says Father Raped Her Repeatedly, Bit Off Her Nose During Assault

In a shocking incident, a 15-year-old girl accused her father of repeatedly raping her and also biting off her nose. The girl also alleged that the father thrashed her multiple times.

The girl filed two complaints against her 45-year-old father in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. The first one accused the father of biting her and beating her. In her second complaint, she accused the father of raping her after she turned 13, the Hindustan Times reported Thursday, citing a local police officer.

On April 6, the girl was admitted to a hospital in the city of Jodhpur. At the time, she told an activist about her ordeal. The activist approached the police on April 8. The accused, who was not identified, was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code.

"Two years ago, her father raped her when she was 13..." a police officer, identified as Parmeshwari, told the outlet.

The girl's parents are separated and she has been living with her father, uncle, aunt and grandparents, police said. The girl had informed her grandparents about the assault but even after that, her dad raped her multiple times, the Hindustan Times reported. Her grandfather shifted her to a rented house in a nearby locality a few months ago.

The girl was also raped by another man over a period of 28 days in captivity, India Today reported. The victim's father suspected her mother of infidelity and doubted if the girl was his own daughter. The uncle and aunt also reportedly abused her while she stayed with them.

The officer said police will record the girl's statement. "But as of now, we have a complaint of rape against her father," Parmeshwari said.

Earlier this month, a man was arrested in the neighboring state of Gujarat after his 15-year-old daughter accused him of raping her repeatedly while her mother was not at home. The accused, who worked as a pedicab driver, beat up his daughter while she was sleeping. He then raped her thrice till the next morning, the girl told the police.
