19-Year-Old Carves His Name Into Girlfriend’s Forehead, Arrested
A 19-year-old man in San Antonio, Texas, was arrested Friday night for brutally attacking his girlfriend and allegedly carving his name into her forehead during a fight.
Jackub Jackson Hildreth and his girlfriend Catalina Mireles had a verbal duel Thursday morning over their relationship which led to the attack. Hildreth held Mireles by the neck, punched her in the face 10 times, thus breaking her jaw when the attack escalated in the afternoon. He then grabbed a knife and allegedly carved his name into her forehead before fleeing the scene.
Authorities located him hours later and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held on a $75,000 bond, according to the arrest affidavit.
“He was going to put in the closet until he figured out what he was going to do with my body,” Mireles told KSAT-TV. Hildreth also appeared to have Mireles' name tattooed over his right eyebrow.
Mireles ended up with multiple bruises on her face, including cheeks, chin, and under the right eye, as a result of the assault. The couple had been in a relationship for three weeks after meeting on Facebook.
It emerged in an investigation that Hildreth has a history of violence. He was previously wanted for burglary assault and family violence-strangulation, The Houston Chronicle reported.
Mireles’ mother, Juanita Lopez, said she felt relieved that her daughter’s attacker is now in police custody.
"She was scared for her life, he tried to kill her," Lopez said in an interview with Daily Mail. She doesn’t want him to get out because she thinks “he's going to hurt someone else.”
Hildreth is scheduled to appear in court in January.
