‘2 Broke Girls’ Season 6 Finale Teased Possible Storylines For Next Season
“2 Broke Girls” aired its final episode on Monday night, which saw Max (Kat Dennings) getting engaged to her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Randy (Ed Quinn).
But ahead of the finale, showrunner Michelle Nader told TV Line that the episode wasn’t crafted as a series finale. Nader is also hopeful that CBS will renew the series for a seventh season. Following the finale, Nader clarified that even though the episode felt like a conclusion to the entire series, this wasn’t really the case.

“The idea was to get Max and Randy back together, even before the show landed on the bubble. We knew that. It represents growth for this character to be in a romantic relationship. She’s learned so much in terms of trusting people, and we wanted there to be some kind of reward for her taking a chance on love,” she told the same publication.
Meanwhile, since Max is already engaged, it’s possible that Season 7 will revolve around her, Randy and Caroline (Beth Behrs) planning the couple’s wedding. “It opens up the world a lot. Max and Caroline have always been the strongest couple on the show, and they will continue to be. But like any friendship, how does that dynamic change when someone gets a significant other?” Nader said.
Other than a possible wedding, other storylines for Season 7 could include Max and Randy moving in together. But Nader said that Max is the type of character who would want to take things slow. Randy and Caroline’s boyfriend, Bobby (Christopher Gorham), don’t also get along very well so the relationship of the four characters will take center stage in the future episodes.
“2 Broke Girls” Season 6 aired its finale episode on April 17 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
