2014 Grammy Awards: Full Winners List
Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Lorde cleaned up at the 56th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Grammys, one of the biggest nights in music, have often featured obscure fashion and scandalous behavior, but the 2014 awards were relatively demure. Still, the night was definitely packed with exciting, first-rate performances.
Beyoncé put on a show stopper, singing “Drunk In Love” live for the show's opener. She didn’t move from a chair for the beginning of the act and was still able to deliver a stellar rendition. And things really heated up when husband Jay Z stepped onto the stage, allowing the two to perform a rare duet.
Daft Punk won Album of the Year for "Random Access Memories"; the group was up against against Sara Bareilles ("The Blessed Unrest"), Kendrick Lamar ("Good Kid, M.A.A.D City"), Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ("The Heist") and Taylor Swift ("Red").
Infamous twerker Miley Cyrus didn’t attend the festivities and instead put on a separate "performance" that had nothing to do with the Grammys. The singer posted a picture to her Twitter account as she posed next to a guitar.
