2019 Critics’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Best-Dressed: Lady Gaga, Emmy Rossum, More
The 24th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards aired on Sunday night at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. While the ceremony recognized some of the brightest stars in film and television, the blue carpet, which was used in place of the traditional red carpet, acted as a runway for some major fashion statements.
Lady Gaga was a winner both on and off the blue carpet. The 32-year arrived at the ceremony wearing a light pink, strapless gown by Calvin Klein.
While she made an elegant yet simple statement on the blue carpet, she made a lasting impression inside the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards, where she tied with Glenn Close for best actress and picked up a win for best song in “A Star is Born.”
“I’m so honored by this. I went to places in my mind and my heart that I did not know existed,” Gaga said during her acceptance speech.
Luckily for fans of the star, this won’t be the last time they’ll see Gaga taking on the identity of a new character. “I will definitely continue acting,” she later told the press.
“I love acting. I loved acting on American Horror Story as the Countess for Ryan Murphy, and I loved acting in A Star is Born for Bradley Cooper. It was a tremendous experience, and I want to continue to do more, but I am a bit spoiled. I’ve had some fantastic directors and fantastic visionaries.”
“Riviera” actress Poppy Delevingne also managed to turn a few heads when she walked the blue carpet, wearing a flowing Oscar de la Renta gown. Featuring a plunging neckline and pleated detailed, Delevingne looked like an absolute goddess.
Meanwhile, actress Emmy Rossum used her plunging neckline to look like an absolute vixen. Sporting a dark lip and red velvet Ralph Lauren dress, the 32-year-old channeled her inner she-devil and dominated the blue carpet.
