2019 iPhone XR New Color Options Revealed Ahead Of Release
Apple played with colors in last year’s iPhone XR and made it available in six colors: black, white, blue, yellow, red and coral. If a new rumor is true, it seems that Apple is taking the same colorful route and plans to introduce the 2019 iPhone XR successor in six colors as well -- two of them new.
According to a report from Apple news site Mac Otakara, “reliable information sources” claimed that the successor to last year’s lowest-priced iPhone will come in six colors: white, black, yellow, red, and two new colors green and lavender or lilac.
The green and lavender colors take the place of last year’s blue and coral color options. Fans of these new colors will love the new 6.1-inch 2019 iPhone when it’s released soon.
Mac Otakara created a short video to simulate how the new iPhone XR would look like in these colors. The video doesn’t show the devices in full color, but instead puts all six colors in small patches to simulate how the actual device might look like:
Aside from the 2019 iPhone XR’s colors, MacOtakara’s sources also claim that silicone cases for the 2019 iPhone XS and XS Max will come in white, black, spearmint, mellow yellow, red and lilac.
These new colors will serve to add variety to this year’s premium iPhones. Last year’s models came in silver, space gray and gold. It remains to be seen if Apple will add a new color.
Earlier iPhone XR reports
Aside from getting new colors, this year’s iPhone XR is believed to get upgraded specs, particularly an upgraded camera. The International Business Times previously reported that the 2019 iPhone XR is going to have a dual-camera setup at the back.
According to leaked 2019 iPhone XR renders, the new smartphone is going to feature two rear-mounted cameras at the back. These will be placed, together with an LED flash, inside a square shaped box believed to be the same size as that of the box housing the rumored triple-camera setup for the 2019 iPhone XS and XS Max.
Whether these details prove true remain to be seen. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
