The accused, identified by his first name Sameer, befriended the girl a few months ago. On March 11, he called the minor girl to his shop where he raped her in the presence of his uncle, media outlet One India reported.
The police said Sameer's uncle also raped the girl and recorded the entire act on the camera. They threatened the girl if she resisted they would leak the video and circulate it on the internet. The girl returned home after the incident and told her family members she was not feeling well. On March 24, she told her mother about what happened, following which the girl's family filed a complaint against the three accused.
According to Nipun Agarwal, a senior police officer, a report was filed under Section 376D (gang rape) of the Indian Penal Code and under POSCO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
During questioning, the accused confessed to raping the girl. The police also recovered the phone in which they recorded the act.
