A routine checkup for a 4-month-old baby boy revealed that his head was growing at a rapid rate; After an MRI scan doctors discovered a rare tumor -- and something even more rare growing inside -- several fully grown teeth. The discovery happened last year in Maryland, but now the details have been revealed in a medical journal.

While there are different types of tumors that can contain hair, bone and teeth, this is believed to be the first person in the world to have had full teeth grown in this type of brain tumor. The tumor itself was quite large, measuring about 4cm.

Fortunately this story has a happy ending, as the baby who remains unidentified is living a healthy life. He will however have to receive hormone treatments for the rest of his life, and have regular MRI scans to make sure that the tumor does not return. The teeth are now being studied further to understand how this happened.

This is not the first or last case where doctors have been stunned by what the human body can sustain. Doctors have found human hair and even plants growing inside of people. But at least this story ended well and the baby can hopefully go on to live a happy and healthy life.
