According to People, there is a lot of secrets behind the Prince and Princess of Wales' big day. Here are some of it.
1. Princess Diana had a 23-inch waistline
The People's Princess lost a lot of weight in the run-up of her big day. According to her designer Elizabeth Emanuel, the royal walked down the aisle with a 23-inch waistline from a 26- to 27-inch.
"Most brides do lose weight," Emanuel said. "She just walked more confidently. She just was suddenly growing up, you know? But I think she felt very good about how she looked."
2. Princess Diana almost ruined her wedding gown.
Barbara Daly, Princess Diana's makeup artist, revealed that Prince William and Prince Harry's mom decided to apply a final spritz of her favorite perfume before she walked down the aisle. However, she accidentally tipped the entire bottle on her dress leaving a large stain on her gown.
So, to cover it, Princess Diana kept on tucking her gown at the front. She was photographed clutching a portion of her wedding dress to hide the stain.
3. Prince Charles invited an ex
Prince Harry famously invited two of his exes Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas when he exchanged "I do's" with Meghan Markle. However, prior to the Duke of Sussex, his dad did it first.
Prince Charles invited Camilla Parker Bowles when he married Princess Diana. The pair were in a relationship before they married their spouses. Following their respective divorce, they married each other.

Princess Diana had two bouquets during the event. According to ITV's documentary, this has been a practice after Queen Elizabeth lost hers on her big day.

Princess Diana's bridal gown had a hidden good luck charm that was not visible in the photographs. The gown had an 18-carat gold horseshoe trinket studded with white diamonds.
"[The dress] was the fulfillment of her princess fantasy," biographer Tina Brown told Vanity Fair. "She was insistent in her demand for its puffy sleeves and floating silk, its twenty-five-foot taffeta train, its nipped waist, and its antique lace embroidered with pearls and sequins."
