'50 Shades Of Grey' Movie First Photo: E. L. James Tweets Picture Of Charlie Tango
Get ready “Fifty Shades of Grey” fans! Filming is reportedly going to start at the beginning of November but author E.L. James is giving her Twitter followers a first look at the behind-the-scenes.
On Thursday, Oct. 24, James posted the following photo with the caption: “STJ & Charlie Tango …”
So, who is “STJ & Charlie Tango”?
STJ is none other than Sam Taylor-Johnson, the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie director. Taylor-Johnson can be seen sitting in the pilot’s seat of a helicopter … or more specifically, Charlie Tango.
For those that never read the erotic book series, Charlie Tango is the name of the Eurocopter that Christian Grey not only owns, but also flies. Throughout the series he uses the helicopter to travel between Seattle and Portland. Readers (and Anastasia) first learn of Charlie Tango (and how truly rich Christian is) when Christian takes Anastasia to his penthouse for the first time … via helicopter.
The photo is the first from the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie, but far from E.L. James’ first post regarding the film. At the beginning of September the author tweeted the casting announcement that Dakota Johnson had landed the role of Anastasia Steele and Charlie Hunnam for Christian Grey. She kept fans updated when Hunnam, the star of the FX series “Sons of Anarchy,” pulled out a few weeks later, posting: “I wish Charlie all the best.”
Hunnam’s replacement as Christian Grey was just announced on Wednesday, Oct. 23. An hour before posting the Charlie Tango photo, James tweeted to fans the following message about the new kinky billionaire, Jamie Dornan: “Stow your twitchy palms ladies … our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1 x.”
“Fifty Shades of Grey” is expected to hit theaters on Aug. 1, 2014. What do you think of the photo E.L. James shared? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
