3.Elon planned to name the first 4 cars as Model S, Model E, Model X and Model Y.

All the 4 models could be collectively called as SEXY. Ford already have a trade mark on model E and hence Elon had to change the plan from Model E to Model 3 which is kind of reverse of letter E. An early brochure from Tesla below

5.Tesla’s Chinese website domain name was http://Tousule.cn and was based on the Chinese pronunciation of Tesla. Also “tesla.cn” was already registered by a firm in Guangzhou and was a blank page. Later Tesla bought the domain name and hosted the products.
