6 Questions 'Game Of Thrones' Must Answer After Season 7 Finale

"Game of Thrones" delivered on the promises that the final episodes would be epic with the Season 7 finale, "The Dragon and the Wolf." However, the last episode before the show takes its final bow with Season 8 left fans with even more questions than they had going in.

The nearly 80-minute-long episode threw several big moments at fans, including the convergence of several major characters in the King's Landing dragon pit for Jon's (Kit Harington) big White Walker reveal, a Stark siblings plot that took down one of the biggest schemers in all of Westeros, and the major reveal that Jon was not only not a bastard, but the true heir to the Iron Throne. However, despite those, as well as other major moments, there were still other questions that either remained unanswered, and new ones which were added to fans minds.

Here are six questions the show can hopefully answer either ahead of, or during, Season 8:

When Is The Show Coming Back?

While this has nothing to do with the actual storyline for the show, it is a valid question, and one that fans are dying to know the answer to. Normally, a new season has aired every year, with Season 7 delayed by a few months to accommodate the show's needs for filming. However, what is unclear is when the new season will air. While comments from the cast have indicated it could still come back in 2018, HBO programming president Casey Bloys has also hinted that the show could not return until 2019 if showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff needed the extra time to work on it.

Are Tormund And Beric Alive?

It seemed as if Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) and Beric (Richard Dormer) may have somehow escaped death when the Night King (Richard Brake) and his horde came through the Wall after it was partially destroyed by a reanimated Viserion. But we didn't see them again afterwards, so are they actually still alive? Or did they die? We need to know if Tormund is going to ever be able to make good on his hopes to have giant babies with Brienne (Gwendoline Christie).

What Was With Tyrion's Weird Reaction To Jon And Daenerys Hooking Up?

While fans knew why Jon and Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) sex scene was weird, because we are aware they're actually related, even though they don't know that yet. However, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) was also seen in the shot, lingering outside the door as they got it on with a sad look on his face. What fans want to know is why—Tyrion has never seemed overly concerned about Dany's romantic life before, so why now?

However, episode director Jeremy Podeswa seems to have cleared that one up already, telling Rolling Stone that Tyrion is more or less concerned with where his role in Dany's life would be if things with Jon became more serious.

"As long as there is a professional alliance between Dany and Jon, that's something that everybody wants. We can imagine that that's a helpful alliance. But when things get personal, then people make decisions based on their emotions, and that can complicate matters going forward, so I think he sees the potential here for things to get very messy," he said. "Usually, historically, nothing good comes out of relationships becoming more complicated! It's also a question of what's going to be his role within this new alliance, right? So there's kind of caution here."

When Is Cleganebowl Going To Happen?

Fans held their breath early in the Season 7 finale when The Hound (Rory McCann) walked up to his undead brother, The Mountain (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson), and hurled insults at him. It seemed like the highly anticipated Cleganebowl was finally happening. Then, just as suddenly as it seemed like it would happen... it didn't. There's definitely a strong chance that the show was hinting at the possibility of it happening in the final season, but it'd be nice to finally know when, how, and why it's going to go down.

Who Will Be The Night King's First Victim?

Now that the Night King and his army have breached the Wall and are officially in Westeros, it's clear that some of the remaining major characters will eventually find themselves killed completely or turned to be a part of his army. The question is however, who will be the first person that succumbs? Since Winterfell is the Northern most area of Westeros, It's safe to assume that the fight is going to head there, and several possible characters are going to be stationed. It's anyone's guess who could be the first to fall.

Who Is Going To Kill Cersei?

The only other big bad villain in the show (besides the Night King) is Cersei (Lena Headey), and she no longer has her faithful brother/lover, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) by her side. It seems like It's fair game for anyone to be her killer, though the prophecy of her life stated she'd be killed by a "little brother." Could that be Tyrion? Jaime? The Hound? Could Arya (Maisie Williams) murder one of them and steal their face before crossing the biggest name off her kill list? The list of potential Queen killers still seems endless.
