61-Year-Old 'Playboy King' Plans To Get Married For The 88th Time
A 61-year-old man in Indonesia seems to be a staunch believer in monogamy and hell-bent on setting a record for number of marriages.
The man, identified by his first name Kaan, has been married as many as 87 times, and is now all set to marry for the 88thtime, that too, to an ex-wife, reported NDTV.
Hailing from Majalengka in West Java, Kaan is reportedly a farmer by profession. Age has not slowed him down, and he's well and strong, reportedly enough to go for an 88th hitch.
The sexagenarian with enviable stamina said his wife-to-be was his 86th wife. The marriage, however, had ended just after a month.
Kaan has been nicknamed "Playboy King," owing to his astoundingly large number of marriages.
He says his impressive wedding record is because of the fact that he cannot refuse any woman who comes forward with a wish to marry him. He says his ex-wife is still in love with him, and therefore they're getting married again.
"Although it has been a long time since we separated, the love between us is still strong," Kaan told Tribunnews, as cited by the Malay Mail.
He further stated he got married for the first time when he was just 14, and that his first wife had been two years older than him. But, he said, it ended primarily due to his own fault.
"Due to my poor attitude then, my wife asked for a divorce after two years into the marriage," Tribunnews reported him as saying.
He, however, refused to divulge any more details on what the "poor attitude" constituted.
Being rejected by his first wife made him extremely angry, he said, making him seek other ways to get women to be attracted to him. It was his "spiritual" knowledge that enabled him to get married so many times, he said, before adding, "But I do not want to do things that are not good for women. I also refuse to play with their emotions."
He concluded: "Rather than committing immorality, it is better that I get married," Tribunnews reported.
He also didn't comment on how many children he had sired from his marriages.
