Improved World Generation

The star of Alpha 20 is the new and improved Random World Generation that now allows “7 Days to Die” to create more realistic and immersive landscapes.

Loot Progression Changes

The loot system has been revamped to make the early game a bit faster-paced. Players can now get good loot even during the early stages of the game by raiding high-tier POIs. Alpha 20 also introduced a new Loot Stage System that will affect the type of loot found in biomes, POIs and even individual containers.

New Weapons

New primitive firearms have been introduced to make the early game more interesting. Players will now be able to craft pistols, machine guns, rifles, shotguns and batons made out of metal pipes. The old Blunderbuss has been replaced by the Pipe Shotgun, which fulfills a similar role.

Additionally, a new Level-Action Rifle has been added as a late-game option under the Rifle category, and players can now craft robotic drones that can provide healing and carry items.

Vehicle Mods

All crafted vehicles can now be modded to gain additional perks and effects such as increased fuel capacity, extra passenger seats, brighter lights, faster acceleration and more. Vehicles can now be painted as well.

Better Block Shapes

Players will now be able to use more building block shapes when creating or reinforcing their bases. The block shape menu has been improved as well. Each shape is now easier to identify, and the Creative Mode window should now be easier to navigate.

Aesthetic Upgrades

Dozens of visual upgrades to nearly every facet of the game were implemented in Alpha 20, including HD models, better textures, weather effects and more. Here are some of the biggest upgrades “7 Days to Die” players may notice:

  • HD player and zombie models
