A state-wide amber alert has been issued for a missing 7-month-old boy in Tennessee after the infant's mother was dropped off dead at a hospital. The child is believed to be with his non-custodial father who is now wanted for the woman's murder, police said.

The unidentified woman with an apparent gunshot wound was left dead at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis Sunday. The police later found out that the victim had a 7-month-old child who is missing, WMC Action News reported.

The woman's child, Braylen Clark, was last seen at around 1:30 p.m. Sunday along with his biological father, Barry Medlock, Tennesse Bureau of Investigation said in a news release. A warrant with second-degree murder charges has been issued for Medlock.

The police are seeking public assistance in locating Clark and Medlock. The alert described Clark as a 27.2″ long baby, weighing 18 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Medlock is described as a Black man with brown eyes and black hair. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds, the alert said.
