75-Year-Old Arrested For Allegedly Killing Woman In Grocery Store Parking Lot

A 75-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of an 80-year-old woman at the parking lot of a Richardson, Texas, grocery store Friday.

Eddie Leon Williams, of Garland, was arrested Friday night and charged with murder in the shooting of Kathryn Elizabeth Kramer, CBS DFW reported.

Williams and Kramer “had a personal relationship with each other,” Richardson police said.

Officers were dispatched to the Tom Thumb located in the 800 block of West Arapaho Road around noon after receiving reports of a man allegedly shooting into a pickup truck, according to an official release from the Richardson Police Department.

The man allegedly approached the pickup truck and fired at it multiple times, striking Kramer at least once, Dallas News reported. He then drove off after opening fire.

Aside from Kramer, there was reportedly no other passenger in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

Kramer was brought to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police have not revealed a motive for the alleged shooting. No further details have been announced as of this writing.

The incident came days after a 73-year-old man was killed in the Coarsegold area of Madera County, California, last weekend.

Michael Miller was found shot dead on the morning of July 18 at Wells and Douglas roads, KFSN reported.

Trisha Lynn Richardson was detained by the Madera County Sheriff's Office as a person of interest in the case. However, a day later, she admitted to having a romantic relationship with Miller and confessed to killing him, police said.

She was booked into the Madera County Jail on charges of first-degree murder and interfering with an officer. Her bail is set at over $1 million.
