A man from Concord, North Carolina is facing multiple rape-related charges which he reportedly carried out over a span of 45 years.

Merle Alexander Overcash Jr. has been charged with first-degree rape of a child, second-degree rape, second-degree sexual offense, six counts of indecent liberties with a child and three counts of crime against nature, Fox 8 reported.

Overcash had allegedly sexually assaulted multiple children from 1976 to 2021. Investigation on his case started in April and deputies found that multiple children have allegedly been abused by the 75-year-old from January 1976 to April 2021.

Overcash is now under the custody of the Cabarrus County Detention Center with a $2 million bond set. The case is still under investigation as of this writing.

Authorities are seeking help from the public for any information tied to the multiple sexual abuse cases of the suspect.

In Wichita, two men have been arrested in connection to the rape of a teenage girl on May 28. The 17-year-old was assaulted while she was in an incoherent state, with the attack recorded and spread over social media.

Arrested by authorities were David Clark and Ethan Garrett, KNSS reported. Clark, 18, was booked on suspicion of two counts of rape and one count of aggravated sexual battery. Garret, 19, was arrested on suspicion of one count of rape and one count of aggravated sexual battery.

Over in Ohio, three men have been accused of raping three women outside a Brook Car Park dealership. The names of the accused were not divulged.

The trio, aged 24 to 33, allegedly raped three Mentor women all aged 18-years-old, Cleveland.com reported. The rape was reported at 12:30 a.m. on May 4. The men and women knew each other and were out drinking. After the attack, the three girls went to the police to report the sexual assault. The men would later turn themselves in.

All three men were transferred to the Cuyahoga County Jail, where a bond was set at $250,000 each.
