‘90 Day Fiancé’ Cast Update: Blake Blames TLC For Manipulating Scenes Of Jasmin

“90 Day Fiancé” fans may recall following the story of Season 7 couple Blake Abelard and Jasmin Lahtinen. Throughout their time on the show, the couple appeared to lack chemistry and many questioned whether Jasmin was using Blake so she could come to America.

During their season, viewers learned that Jasmin’s sister, who is also from Finland, married an American and moved to California. Coincidentally, Blake lives in Los Angeles, and throughout Jasmin’s time in the US, she frequently visited her sister.

The couple’s relationship came under fire from fans and friends of Blake, who thought Jasmin wasn’t interested in getting to know the people in his life and support his career as an aspiring artist.

However, during an appearance on “The Domenick Nati Show,” Blake revealed that he thought that some of the scenes featuring their relationship were “exaggerated” and insisted he and Jasmin have a genuine bond.

“I’m not gonna say, ‘Oh, this is completely false.’ But, you know, there are things that have been exaggerated that made it seem worse than it was, or worse than it is,” he revealed.

“For example, the music thing. She doesn’t like my music or whatever. Obviously, when we’re being filmed we’re talking about it, but you don’t hear the full conversation. You hear little parts of it. So it seems that way. Yeah, of course, we said it. But it depends on the context. You don’t know the context of how we say it,” Blake continued.

“90 Day Fiancé” star claimed that there was plenty of footage of the couple getting along and having positive conversations about his work, but that portion of the film was left on the cutting room floor.

“We shot crazy cool stuff that was left out. So it just seems like my friends are nagging her, she’s not getting along with them, she hates my music, she’s using me, and she just wants to be with her sister. But the stuff that was actually cool and loving and nice, you know, you missed,” he explained.

Although Blake admitted he wasn’t happy about the way production manipulated his scenes, he claimed he and Jasmin would be open to returning to the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise in the future.
