Is ‘90 Day Fiancé’ Real? Stephanie Exposes Scripted Scene With Anny
When “90 Day Fiancé” Season 7 star Robert introduced his family to Anny, they had their doubts about the couple’s relationship. Stephanie, the grandmother of Robert‘s son, Bryson, immediately struggled to bond with the young woman, who left her life in the Dominican Republic.
During “90 Day Fiancé” Season 7, episode 12, Stephanie sat down with Anny, offered to write her a check, and pay for her ticket to return to the Dominican Republic and leave Robert’s life.
Although Anny has been disappointed that Robert hasn’t spoiled her the way he claimed he would, she was offended by Stephanie’s offer and rejected the deal. Unfortunately for Stephanie, some viewers were also offended by her behavior and attacked her on Instagram.
Following the continuous backlash, In Touch reported that Stephanie claimed the scene was fake and the producers came up with the idea.
“It’s fake. It’s scripted. I had to borrow a checkbook because the producers asked me to do this. I have screenshots to prove this,” she wrote on her Instagram story following the episode.
Prior to the episode, Stephanie opened up about the negative comments she has received since she appeared on the show. “The amount of hate messages I’ve received is pretty wild. I’m astonished that a show about love has brought such tremendous hate out of people,” she wrote in a post.
“It’s truly amazing how people will only hear one side of a story and immediately attack other parties. It’s sad that we live [in] a world like this. I know the truth. I know who I am as a person, parent and grandparent. And really, that’s all that matters.”
Fans will have to wait to see if Anny and Stephanie will be able to work past their differences and build a positive relationship.
“90 Day Fiancé” Season 7 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
