‘90 Day Fiancé’ Update: Tania And Syngin In Marriage Counseling Following Communication Issues
Although “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” couple Tania Maduro and Syngin Colchester can’t seem to communicate on onscreen, offscreen, the two have decided to work on their relationship issues with the help of a marriage counselor.
On the latest episode of the TLC series, Syngin admitted that he was having doubts about his future with Tania and debating whether it would be best for him to return to his family in South Africa.
During a conversation with Fox News, the couple revealed that they have decided to start marriage counseling. “We started [...] marriage counseling to kind of just help us,” Tania explained.
“You know, we got together on such a whim and were definitely in vacation mode when we first got together. And we know that there’s so much love there. If love was the only thing to make a relationship [work], we would [not] need [...] other help.”
Tania revealed she and Syngin are hoping that marriage counseling can help them communicate better and figure out if they both want the same thing.
“We started marriage counseling to help us make sure that we’re going on the right path and making sure we’re communicating well with each other and making sure our goals -- not even just our end goals -- like how we got there [is in sync],” she said.
This isn’t the first time the “90 Day Fiancé” couple has talked about issues regarding their future together. In June, Tania told Entertainment Tonight that their lack of communication has caused Syngin to become hesitant about starting a family with her.
“He’s still trying to figure it out, and I’m trying to figure out what’s a healthy boundary for me. I’m not going to pressure him into having kids or not or even pressure him into making a decision, but I need to figure out for me, how long do I feel comfortable waiting? I want to start planning this future,” Tania revealed.
“I want to start thinking about what it looks like to start building, to have a stable life to bring children into this world and I’d like to plan that with my husband, but we’ll see.
“90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Season 5 airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
