Adele Scolds Guard During Melbourne Concert For Telling Fans To Sit Down

Adele fully understands her fans’ behavior during her concert. In fact, the “Hello” singer fully encourages her fans to stand up and dance during her shows.

On Sunday, March 19, Adele performed her final show in Melbourne, and the “Someone Like You” singer did not disappoint her fans, Daily Mail reported. It is no surprise that some fans got too excited during the concert and started standing up. This did not sit well with the security guard who asked them to return to their seats. Luckily for fans, the songstress came to their rescue and put the concert on pause in the middle to scold a guard who was asking the crowd to sit down.

One concertgoer named Yasmine shared a video of the incident on her Twitter account. The 45-second clip featured Adele talking to the guard during her concert.

“Just before we go to the next song … Excuse me sir? Could you stop telling people to sit down?” Adele told the guard. The “Rolling in the Deep” songstress reminded the man in uniform to not come to a musical show if he doesn’t like dancing.

“If I see one more person get told to sit down, I swear to God,” she warned him.

Aside from siding with the audience, Adele also witnessed another marriage proposal during her concert. Two concertgoers, Wade and Chris, got engaged during the event.

However, not everyone supported the engagement. One fan reportedly called the attention of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to “take note” of the proposal, given that same-sex marriage is illegal in Australia.

But Adele said that she did not see the proposal coming. The singer called Wade because she saw him crying while she sang “Hello,” and she was shocked when he got on bended knees and popped the big question to his boyfriend. “That wasn’t planned, I had no idea!” the singer said.

According to E! News, several proposals were made during Adele’s concerts in 2016. In Denmark, two Swedish men got engaged on her stage. “Should I be your surrogate if you have children? I’d love to have a baby with someone Swedish,” the “When We Were Young” singer joked. In London, a man and woman who shared a child also got engaged onstage while she sang “Make You Feel My Love.”
