After Miley Cyrus Posts Cryptic Message Without Liam Hemsworth’s Engagement Ring, Couple Fights For Relationship

“Wrecking Ball” singer Miley Cyrus set the internet abuzz with breakup rumors Wednesday when she posted a picture without her reputed engagement ring from Liam Hemsworth, but the couple is fighting to make their relationship work, Hollywood Life wrote in an exclusive report Friday. Despite their arguments, Cyrus and Hemsworth want to smooth out their differences.

“It is not a perfect relationship, but it still is a relationship. At the end of the day they are in love with each other but still have a lot of work to do to make things great,” an "insider" told Hollywood Life. “They get into fights, but one thing they are making sure to do is to keep their relationship separate from their careers. They didn’t do that last time, and that is what made the relationship fizzle. But they are really being careful to make it work this time. It is a process they definitely want to succeed with.”

The couple called off their first relationship in September 2013, just as Cyrus’ album "Bangerz" debuted. The former Disney star cut off her signature long hair and adopted a raunchier public image. Many assumed it was too much for the Australian “Hunger Games” star to handle.

Before getting back with her old flame, Cyrus dated Patrick Schwarzenegger, whose political family supposedly detested the relationship, and Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell. The singer was also rumored to have dated Oscar-winner Jared Leto and “Twilight” star Kellan Lutz.

During their time apart, Hemsworth was linked to actress and singer Eiza Gonzalez and “Mad Men” star January Jones. Rumors have also claimed he dated “Hunger Games” co-star Jennifer Lawrence, though both have denied this claim.

Cyrus and Hemsworth haven’t confirmed their relationship, let alone rumors they are engaged again. They reportedly got back together over New Year’s Eve.
