'Agent Carter' Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 4 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In 'The Blitzkrieg Button'? [VIDEO]
A double agent’s work is never done. “Marvel’s Agent Carter” Season 1, episode 4, will show that finding Howard Stark’s (Dominic Cooper) missing inventions in episode 3 won’t be the end of Peggy’s (Hayley Atwell) secret missions. She still has to keep the men at the SSR unaware of her actions and that will get harder, according to the episode synopsis for "The Blitzkrieg Button."
Stark will complicate everything for Peggy. He’ll return for “mysterious reasons” and Peggy may not appreciate it. While her secret missions gave her plenty to do, she is also trying to keep her bosses in the dark. She can’t let them know what she has done for Stark, and she may realize that he has some ulterior motives. “Steve Rogers dedicated his life to this country, not to your bank account,” Peggy says in the promo video below. Could Stark be playing Peggy for his own benefit?
Because of Stark, Peggy now has to worry about being discovered as a double agent. After the death of another agent in episode 3, Chief Dooley (Shea Whigham) made it clear that he still wanted to put Stark in jail, despite his inventions being found. The chief “chases a new clue all the way to Europe that threatens to destroy Peggy’s future at the SSR,” the synopsis teases.
He won’t be the only one close to discovering her secrets. Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) also seems to be on to Peggy in the trailer. “You’re trying to hide something,” he says.
