“Marvel’s Agent Carter” Season 1 will return Tuesday after a one-week hiatus, and it seems Peggy (Hayley Atwell) is jumping right back into action in episode 4. New sneak peek videos show her kicking butt, but that isn’t all she’ll do this week. Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) has returned, and it seems a lie will be revealed.

Sneak Peek No. 1

Jarvis (James D’Arcy) is officially more than a getaway car driver. He is helping Peggy on some sort of mission.

“You think the deal is going to go sour?” one of the guards asks.

“Not with you, me and Jimmy standing guard,” his friend says.

Unfortunately, their friend Jimmy is easily knocked out, and they follow suit. Peggy doesn’t even break a sweat as she takes out the guards. As she watches Jarvis from afar, Jarvis hands some criminals a stack of $1,000 bills as payment. They find the payment a little strange and decide the price has gone up.

“I’m sorry but I can’t agree to such -- pardon my language -- extortion,” Jarvis says.

“It’s not extraortion,” the criminal mistakenly says. “It’s a shakedown.”

Jarvis pulls his ear and says that he has another $50,000 in the briefcase. He presses a white button on the case before turning it over to the criminals. When they open it, smoke comes out, which causes one criminal to pass out. The other criminal has a gun held to his head by Peggy.

“You drive a hard bargain, Mr. Jarvis,” Peggy says.

Sneak Peek No. 2

Howard’s return isn’t exactly a celebratory homecoming. Peggy is angry with him. They don’t say what he did, but it’s clear he lied about something. Howard claims he was protecting her.

“I knew how much Steve meant to you because I know how much he means to me. I was protecting you,” Howard says.

“Oh, don’t pretend this is about me and my emotions. You were out to protect you,” Peggy says.

When Peggy refuses to accept his excuses, he apologizes.

“I was wrong,” Howard says. “But you have to understand a kid like me doesn’t get to where I’m at --”

“Wanted for treason?” Peggy interjects.

“I grew up on the Lower East Side,” Howard says. “My father sold fruit. My mother sewed shirtwaists for a factory. ... You don’t get to climb the American ladder without picking up some bad habits along the way. There is a ceiling for certain types of people based on how much money your parents have, your social class, your religion, your sex. The only way to break through that ceiling sometimes is to lie. So, that’s my natural instinct -- to lie.”

Howard won’t be the only familiar face in episode 4. Stan Lee will make a cameo appearance in this episode as well.
