“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 5 might finally be heading back to the present. The synopsis and videos from episode 10 hint that the agents are preparing to leave space.

“S.H.I.E.L.D. has one final chance to return to our timeline, but their actions may have deadly consequences,” the synopsis for the ABC drama teases.

Daisy (Chloe Bennet) will worry about the consequences of returning home. In the sneak-peek video (seen at the top of this page), she tells May (Ming-Na Wen) and Coulson (Clark Gregg) that she’s not going back to the present.

May and Coulson understand that she is scared. After all, people in the future believe her powers caused the Earth to break into pieces, and while she’s lacking definitive proof, she knows she was in the epicenter of the action. However, May reasons that she doesn’t even have her powers after Kasius (Dominic Rains) installed an inhibitor.

“It’s only a matter of time and you know it,” Daisy points out. “If there’s an emergency or if one of you are in danger, I will need them. And we will find a way. If I go through that portal, you know it’s the beginning of the end.”

May and Coulson think she can change the future by going home. Daisy, however, doesn’t seem to agree.

She might not be the only one staying behind. Mack (Henry Simmons) and Yo-Yo (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) are in serious trouble. Last week, they moved all of Kasius’ explosives, so he couldn’t kill the human levels, and then they destroyed all the tech used to make Inhumans. The Kree is going to have a serious grudge in episode 10.

In the promo video, they’re shown facing off with Kasius. “I want to watch the light die in your eyes,” Kasius tells Mack.

However, he might not do that while beating the agent to a bloody pulp. The final shot of the trailer for episode 10, which is titled “Past Life,” makes it look like Yo-Yo is about to have her throat slashed.
