'Ain Dubai,' World Largest Observation Wheel Will Accept Passengers Soon
Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is scheduled to open on Oct. 21.
The new attraction will break world records, and become the latest Ferris wheel-type of experience added to a major city.
The observation wheel is at the center of a man-made island, Blue Waters Island, which is also known as the “Entertainment Hub.” “Ain Dubai is a world-class example of expertise in engineering technology and safety,” the official website reads.
Dubai, which draws visitors as a luxurious travel destination, is known for its long list of "tallest and biggest" structures.
The highest point of the wheel is 820 feet high, making it almost double the size of the observation wheel in London, the “London Eye.” It is also 250 feet above the second-highest observation wheel now, the “Las Vegas High Roller” taking its first-place position.
The experience is 38 minutes long and can be scheduled for multiple different types of events.
Air Dubai has 48 cabins that can hold up to 40 passengers, which can hold about 1,750 people at once. The cabins are larger than double-decker buses stacked on top of one another.
The website notes that it's a private, air-conditioned cabin with an "incredible range of house, sparkling and bubbly beverage packages."
The price tag starts at $1,280.
Due to COVID guidelines, only 10 passengers are allowed at once.
