AirPods Tip: How To Check Battery Life On Apple Watch, iPhone

The AirPods 2 is one of Apple's newest devices and is currently used by many of the innovative company’s fans. However, checking the battery after long use and using the earphones' other nifty features can be a bit tricky for first time AirPod owners. Here’s how to check your AirPods' battery life.

Battery Life

Rather than just looking at your phone’s battery meter up top, checking your AirPods’ battery life can be done in a variety ways. For one, you can simply ask Siri about your AirPods' battery charge. Siri would plainly reply how much energy is left.

If you still have your AirPods in the case, opening the case and looking at the small battery life card near it can help. This card will tell you the charges of either pod and the charging case. Using this feature is extremely helpful when you’re traveling and just have to check without looking at your phone.

However, you can also check the AirPods battery charge when using your phone. With the Batteries widget, AirPods users can see the battery charge of both pods and the charging case through the phone screen.

To activate this feature, go to widgets menu on your home screen. Find the right widget for your AirPods and click on the green + symbol to activate it. Users can also rearrange it according to the order they want to see the battery life of these devices and press "Done" when you’re finished.

From now on, your phone will sync up to your AirPods and inform you how long is left on its battery life.

Apple Watch and AirPods

Checking AirPods battery life is also possible if you pair them with your Apple Watch. Accessing the Apple Watch’s “Battery Percentages” menu will show its users the AirPods' remaining energy. This menu can be found under the Apple Watch’s control center.

However, users will need to use the iCloud app and link their iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods to make this work. Even when the AirPods is only connected to the iPhone, the Apple Watch will show the AirPods battery life with this special feature.

Meanwhile, Apple has just released the AirPods 2, which has a longer battery life than its predecessor. The next AirPods in line is called AirPods 3, according to speculations.

For now, we’ll just have to wait for Apple to reveal more about the new AirPods and its new features later this year.
