Alex Rodriguez Hangs Out With Ben Affleck's Ex Lindsay Shookus On Her Birthday: Report

Alex Rodriguez hung out with Ben Affleck's ex-girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus, over the weekend, a report says.

The former Yankees player was spotted at the "Saturday Night Live" producer's birthday party Saturday, Page Six reported. In a video obtained by the outlet, Rodriguez sat next to Shookus in an intimate backyard gathering in the Hamptons as Josh Beckerman, known as the "Foodie Magician," performed his magic routine for the birthday celebrant.

The timing of Shookus and Rodriguez's sighting sparked interest because their respective exes, Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, rekindled their romance in April. However, sources close to the pair said they are longtime pals and nothing more.

"There is absolutely zero there," Rodriguez's rep told Page Six in response to the rumors Monday. "They’ve been friends for 15 years."

The video of Rodriguez and Shookus from her birthday celebration was shared by Beckerman on his Instagram Stories. "Happy birthday @shookusshookus!" he wrote in the caption. The producer turned 41 on June 18.

Affleck and Shookus had an on-again, off-again relationship. They started dating in July 2017, two years after his separation from ex-wife Jennifer Garner. However, they called it quits in August 2018.

The pair rekindled their romance in February 2019 but split again just two months later. Multiple sources told Us Weekly that things didn't work out because they were living in different states.

"She has a kid and an ex-husband and a job in New York and Ben has his family and a job in L.A., and while they love and respect each other, they just realized it wasn’t going to work," an unnamed source said at the time. "They really gave it another solid try."

Meanwhile, Rodriguez is moving on from his ex-fiancée months after they called off their engagement in April. An anonymous insider recently told Entertainment Tonight that he is no longer holding out hope for a reconciliation with Lopez after she rekindled her romance with Affleck.

"When they first split, he wanted to work things out, and still held on to hope that he and J.Lo would get back together," the insider said. "He's come to terms with the fact that it's over now."
