Alicia Silverstone Reveals Why She Still Sleeps With 11-Year-Old Son [Watch]
Alicia Silverstone has opened up about sleeping with her 11-year-old, Bear, noting it is a normal thing to do because she is a natural and loving mama.
"Bear and I still sleep together," Silverstone said in an episode of "The Ellen Fisher Podcast," which dropped on YouTube Tuesday. The 45-year-old actress then shared that sleeping with one's child is a great way to ensure their safety.
"If you were in any kind of wild setting where there are animals … if you put your baby over there [away], your baby is going to get eaten," told host Ellen Fisher. "It's not ideal for the baby to be over there."
The actress went on to share that continues to "believe in nature," unlike our society, which, according to her, is "scared" of it. "I'm a natural mama and I'm a loving mama. I believe in love and I believe in nature and our society is scared of nature and scared of love," she said.
The actress also revealed that she and her ex-husband, musician Christopher Jarecki, decided to go vegan because their kid loves pigs. "My son's dad, he and I did it together and because he goes, I love pigs too, so we went we went vegan," she said. Silverstone and Jarecki got married in 2005 and divorced in 2018.
The "Batman and Robin" star then shared why she didn't have more kids despite having the willingness to do it. Apparently, it was because her relationship got "messed up."
"I wanted to have more [kids], but then my relationship got messed up, and it wasn't a great time to bring one in," she explained. "I didn't want to have one right away because I was so in love with my Bear."
"I wanted to squeeze every little moment out of him, so it wasn't until he was like 3 that I was ready to make another baby and then I didn't have a partner, so that's why I don't have four babies," she said further.
Silverstone, who shot to international stardom at the age of 18 with the 1995 film "Clueless," will be next seen in the movies "Reptile" and "Tunnels."
