Alleged Sony Xperia Z5 Video Shows Live Handset, Ahead Of Sept. 2 Release Date
At a time when the Sony Xperia Z5 release date nears, a new video showing the live Z5 has been leaked online.
The newly leaked video picked up by Phone Arena shows the alleged Sony Xperia Z5 in full action. As it turns out, Sony will be unveiling the flagship Z5, the mini version Xperia Z5 Compact and the jumbo variant Xperia Z5 Premium at a special even on Wednesday.
As far as the rumored Xperia Z5 specifications go, the handset will reportedly flaunt a 23-megapixel rear-facing camera unit. In addition, a fingerprint scanner is also tipped to be part of the upcoming device. The scanner will apparently be housed on the right side of the smartphone. As a result, the power button and volume rocker have been shifted further down the side of the handset.
On the other hand, the Xperia Z5 handset will apparently flaunt dust and water-resistant exterior, which is synonymous to high-end Sony handsets. Under the hood, the smartphone will come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, instead of the new Snapdragon 820. In addition, this chipset will work in tandem with an octa-core processor, whereas the graphics side of things will be taken care of by Adreno 430 GPU.
It is worth mentioning that Sony reportedly acknowledged the overheating problems pertaining to the Snapdragon 810 SoC, as both Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 faced the issue. Many users apparently complained that the device heats up when watching Netflix in HD mode, recording a video and even while playing video games, Phone Arena reported.
