AMA 2011 Wows: Electrifying Performances by J. Lo, Nicki Minaj, Enrique, Katy Perry [PHOTOS, VIDEO]

The 39th American Music Awards were held Sunday in Los Angeles. The awards night, meant to honor outstanding musicians and artists for the year 2011, left everyone in the crowd tapping their feet and dancing to the tunes.

Eclectic and the over-the-top live performances by Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj (with David Guetta), Enrique Iglesias, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson, will.i.am, Maroon 5, Taio Cruz, Justin Bieber and many more comprised a night of glamour, music, singing, rapping and dancing.

J.Lo, who was criticized for her bizarre sheer outfit and using an automobile from a popular manufacturer as a prop on stage, set the ball rolling, with her new song T.H.E (Hardest Ever), with will.i.am and showed off her dance moves with On the Floor.

The night's performances also included appearances from Nicki Minaj (singing and rapping with Supper Bass and her new song Turn Me On, with David Guetta), Christina Aguilera and her concert with Maroon 5 featuring their huge hit Moves Like Jagger and Katy Perry (stunning in a beautiful pink gown), on the guitar, performing her recent hit The One That Got Away. Enrique Iglesias, with a full band behind him, enthralled the crowd with his energetic performance of Tonight and I like How It Feels. Finally, Chris Brown hit the stage with some Jackson spins and moves, performing his track Say It With Me and All Back.
