Amal Clooney Glams Up In Futuristic Monse Dress For Date Night With George In Rome
Amal Clooney was out and about with her actor husband George in Rome on Sunday. The couple met Pope Francis at the Vatican earlier in the day. The 38-year-old changed into a shimmery silk dress for her date night with her husband.
Amal’s dress is by Monse is from its Fall 2016 collection (Look 12). The dress has been designed by Oscar de la Renta alums Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim. Belonging to the designers’ debut collection, the dress was a take on vintage men’s shirting and exuded a relaxed glamour.
The human rights lawyer’s silk dress featured off-the-shoulder detail; the hemline was asymmetrical and gathered into a loose knot above the knee on one side. Amal showed a little skin in the dress with its off-the-shoulder detail. The dress also had silver tones and shirt-like diagonal stripes.
Amal accessorized with a pair of small pearl drop earrings and her engagement ring. She also carried a metallic box clutch by Jimmy Choo. The ‘silver and gold mix clutch bag’ featured a sleek, modern hard-cased rectangular shape with a magnetic closure frame. The handcrafted clutch is in contrasting colors and materials.
The British-Lebanese barrister completed her futuristic look with matching gold pointed-toe high heels. Amal’s flawless make-up consisted of deep pink lipstick, pink blush, black eyeliner and mascara. The lawyer also showed off her matching shimmery manicured hands.
Her long brunette locks were kept in a side part and styled into her favorite glossy and bouncy blowout with loose waves. Meanwhile, her husband George, 55, looked dapper in a shiny dark suit paired with a black shirt underneath. He completed his look with a pair of black lace-up shoes and wore a metal watch.
The pair held hands as they headed to dinner in the Italian capital. Earlier in the day, Amal channeled Jackie Kennedy in a black fitted dress and a matching head wrap that gave a very 1960s vibe. She accompanied George to a seminar hosted by the Pope called ‘Un Muro o Un Ponte’ at the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican City.
