Kids in a village in Henan do not have a school bus -- probably because funds originally allotted for school buses were used for a braised peacock feast -- so to keep their children safe from traffic on the way to and from school, parents in the village have been taking turns driving a tiny motorized rickshaw. Photos published by Caixin, a Chinese financial news outlet, show 31 children on the tiny vehicle. At least they didn't have to climb ladders set on steep cliffs to get to school.

Comments about the story are indignant that Chinese kids have to brave such adverse conditions to get to school. Many questioned again why the Chinese government is donating school buses to other countries, when it has not made sure Chinese kids have been provided for.
