A drugstore cosmetics brand is setting the record straight after one of its products was recently brought up in the ongoing defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in Virginia.

During opening statements this week, Elaine Bredehoft, an attorney for Heard, claimed that the "Aquaman" actress carried makeup with her throughout her "entire relationship with Johnny" and suggested that Heard used it to cover bruises and injuries allegedly made by Depp, the New York Post reported.

Bredehoft told the jury that they'd be hearing testimony and seeing evidence proving Heard would use different makeup products to achieve this. She also held up one of the items Heard apparently used, the Milani Conceal + Perfect All-in-One Correcting Kit.

The lawyer didn't specifically cite Milani when demonstrating for the jury, TMZ noted.

On Thursday, cosmetics brand Milani responded to the mention of its product during the trial. In a video posted to its official TikTok account, the brand said the product mentioned by Heard's lawyer did not exist until a year after the actress and Depp split.

"You asked us… let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017!" Milani captioned the TikTok post.

"Take note: alleged abuse was around 2014-2016, got divorced 2016, makeup palette release date: December 2017," read text over the video that showed Depp and Heard in the courtroom.

The clip also showed a young woman holding a company product catalog and opening to the page describing the makeup compact. A slide noted the product's 2017 release date.

Depp and Heard, who met on the set of 2011's "The Rum Diary," tied the knot in 2015 after three years of engagement. The actress filed for divorce in May 2016. The former couple reached a settlement in August that year, and their divorce was finalized five months later.

Milani's video has since gone viral on social media, with a number of online users slamming Heard and accusing her of lying.

"Not y'all calling her out like that. This is one of the many reasons y'all are one of my favorite brands," one person commented on the post, to which Milani responded: "Obsessed! We are here to provide the facts of the case."

"Milani just proved Amber Heard is a huge liar!" one person tweeted.

"Apparently, Milani doesn't want a liar as a spokesperson in any way, shape or form, which is [their prerogative]. They own their brand, not Amber Heard," another wrote.

"I am gonna support and buy some Milani brand because they were brave to come out and tell the TRUTH. [Heard] is a LIAR and said she used their makeup corrector to cover bruises...yet it didn't exist when she was married to #JohnnyDepp. One of many lies," a third Twitter user wrote.

Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she wrote about being a survivor of domestic abuse. She didn't mention Depp by name, but the actor claimed that the piece was "clearly" about him and their relationship and that it ruined his career.

Disney dropped Depp from his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the multi-billion franchise "Pirates of the Caribbean" four days after the op-ed ran.

Heard, however, has insisted that she told the truth and has filed a $100 million countersuit.
