Amber Heard Secretly Welcomes First Baby: 'She's The Beginning Of The Rest Of My Life'

Amber Heard is officially a mom after welcoming her baby girl.

The "Aquaman" star welcomed her first baby and announced it on Instagram. Heard shared a snap of her lying on a bed while cuddling her baby.

The "Drive Angry" actress welcomed her first child on April 8, 2021. She named her Oonagh Paige Heard after her late mom, and she said her little one is "the beginning of the rest of my life."

"I’m so excited to share this news with you," she wrote in the caption. "Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. "

"I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business," she continued.

Heard didn't share the details about her baby's arrival. However, a source told Page Six that she welcomed her newborn child via surrogate. The actress was reportedly told she would never be able to carry her own child, according to her friends.

"Oonagh is absolutely gorgeous, and Amber is besotted. She always knew that she wanted to be a mom, and this is her greatest wish come true. She’s so grateful to the wonderful woman who helped bring Oonagh into her life," an unnamed source told the outlet.

"The most important thing for Amber is that she’s open about Oonagh’s birth," the insider continued. "There are so many women who feel they can’t talk about their fertility and are worried and embarrassed; Amber wants them to feel supported and realize that there are a multitude of ways to have a baby even if you have fertility issues."

Heard lost her mother last year amid her legal battle with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. She described her mom as "unflinching" and the "most beautiful woman" for her.

"I am heartbroken and devastated beyond belief at the loss of my mom, Paige Heard. She left us too early, clasping onto the memory of her beautiful, gentle soul," she wrote on Instagram.
