‘American Horror Story’ Casting: Colton Haynes Joins Season 7; See His Confirmation
Another big name is joining the cast of “American Horror Story” in Season 7. Colton Haynes confirmed his appearance on the show on Instagram.
Haynes, 28, posted an unusual selfie on Tuesday to share the news with fans. The 28-year-old appeared before the camera with bleach blond hair and lipstick smeared across his face. He claimed to be feeling at home on the set, sharing his excitement with fans for what’s to come.

The red hue across his face is thought to be a clue about his role on the show. Several other stars, including Billie Lourd and Evan Peters, have stepped out with white and blue hair respectively. It’s unclear, however, what the colors are indicative of going into the election-themed season of “American Horror Story.”
Rumors have been swirling about who Peters, 30, will portray since May. The Hollywood Reporter spoke with the actor while he promoted his latest film “Dabka.” Peters was asked about “American Horror Story” co-star Sarah Paulson’s desire to play Donald Trump on the show, revealing information about his own hopes for the show in turn.
“Sarah can play anything, so she can definitely nail Trump,” he said. “I’d love to see her portray Trump because he has so many external things that she can really [dive into]. If Sarah can play Trump, I will play Ivanka.”
No official casting news has been made public. In March, Deadline reported that Billy Eichner was cast in a mystery role opposite Paulson. Little’s known about the actor’s appearance in “American Horror Story” Season 7, but some sources tell Deadline he “will mostly be wearing mysterious tank tops.”
Despite a lack of official casting news, “American Horror Story” fans have gone wild with speculation. Many are hopeful that Emma Roberts will appear in the show’s latest season, based on comments she made in a 2016 interview with ET Online. The actress revealed hopes that one day she’d have the opportunity to appear in another season, facing off with a character played by Lady Gaga.
“Last year, it just didn’t work out ‘cause I was still shooting ‘Scream Queens,’” she said during the sit down. “But now that ‘Scream Queens’ is shooting [Season 2] in L.A. and not New Orleans, maybe I’ll just have to walk over to the stage and force myself onto the show.”
Murphy’s been tight lipped about plans for Season 7 of “American Horror Story.” During the Television Critics Association press day in January, the showrunner revealed that just three people in the world, aside from himself, know the plot of the upcoming season. Murphy has no plans of giving anything up just yet.
“There are only three people in the world who know what it is, which is [FX president and general manager] John Landgraf, [Fox Television Group chairman and CEO] Dana Walden and Sarah Paulson,” Murphy said (via ET Online).
During a call with TV Line, Murphy did share one detail about Season 7 of “American Horror Story” that should excite fans. The show’s creator told the press the show will revisit Freak Show, which was the theme of Season 4. Fans can expect to see familiar characters, though it’s unclear which.

Although he’s been secretive about Season 7 of “American Horror Story,” Murphy’s made it known that neither he nor co-creator Brad Falchuk intend to keep it completely under wraps like Season 6. They’ve kept details veiled in mystery, but will reveal more as the premiere draws closer. Fans suspect that Season 7 of “American Horror Story” will premiere in the fall based on summer production dates.
