‘American Horror Story’ Season 2 Spoilers: Where And When The New Season Will Take Place
American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has been a total tease since the conclusion of the first season of FX's hit show. When season one came to a close Murphy revealed that the L.A. Murder House will not be coming back for a second season, along with a majority of the cast.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, on Wednesday at a panel promotion American Horror Story at the TV Academy in North Hollywood, Murphy said that Season two is set on the East Coast at an institution for the criminally insane that is run by Jessica [Lange].
Besides revealing Lange's new role, Murphy also gave fans a surprise about when the new series will take place. The cast will find themselves in a new era. It's a completely different world and has nothing to do with season one; there's not a mention of season one, said Murphy. The second season is in a completely different time period.
Murphy gave fans a clue about season two in the Birth episode of season one. Something that Sarah Paulson's character, Billie Dean, says to Constance and Violet she's sage-ing the house and talking about places where evil collects, said Murphy. We talk about institutions and prisons and things like that. That was a clue.
Season Two's horror institution on the East Coast has been confirmed; along with some returning cast favorites from season one. Jessica Lange who played the frightening Constance Langdon in season one will appear as a series regular. Other season one cast members following Lange's move are Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe.
New faces set to grace season two of American Horror Story is the Voice star Adam Levine. He's a sexy guy, so he needs to play a sexy guy, but the guy that is different than who you think he would play, said Murphy of Levine. Levine is set to play one-half of a couple called the Lovers.
Another new face is French actress Lizzie Brocheré. Brocheré has been cast as Gia, a fierce, ferocious, extremely sexual and dangerous wild-child sexpot.
Season Two of American Horror Story is set to air this October.
