‘American Idol’ Season 15: How To Vote For Your Favorite 2016 Contestants
"American Idol" viewers now have the power to decide which Season 15 contestants continue on the Fox reality show. Following Wednesday's Wild Card night, voting was opened to the American public.
Before the episode kicked off, judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban chose four contestants to automatically make it to the Top 10. Those contestants were La'Porsha Renae, Dalton Rapattoni, Trent Harmon and Olivia Rox.
The remaining six contestants – Gianna Isabella, Manny Torres, Tristan McIntosh, Thomas Stringfellow, Avalon Young, Jenn Blosil, Lee Jean, Sonika Vaid, Jeneve Rose Mitchell and MacKenzie Bourg – all performed for the judges in hopes of being added to the Top 10.
"American Idol" has five different ways for viewers to submit their votes. Check them out below. (Reminder: you can only vote up to 10 times per contestant.)
1. Google
By simply typing "American Idol vote" or "Idol vote" into Google’s browser, viewers with a valid Google account can easily submit their votes by using the search engine site. Google brings up each of the contestants faces, and all you have to do is click on the image, pick how many times you want to vote for him/her and hit submit.
2. Text
Using a cell phone, viewers can text the contestants' corresponding number to 21523. After submitting your votes, you should get a message telling you it was successful and went through. Check the contestants' Twitter pages or the official "American Idol" Twitter page for which number was assigned to each contestant.
3. Toll-Free Number
If it's easier for you to pick up the phone and dial a number, viewers also have the option to call a toll-free number to submit votes. Again, all numbers can be found on the official "American Idol" Twitter page or the contestants’ personal Twitter pages.
4. Smartphone App
From the App Store or Google Play, fans can download for free the Fox Now mobile app to cast their votes. Once the app has been downloaded to your phone, follow the directions to pick which contestant you want to see move forward to the next round.
5. Facebook
Viewers can also vote for "American Idol" 2016 contestants by logging into their Facebook accounts and heading over to the show's official page. Fans will be taken to the voting page, where they can then vote away! If you want, you can share that you voted on your Facebook page.
"American Idol" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
