American Music Awards 2018: When, Where To Watch And Who’s Performing
Airing live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, the 2018 American Music Awards will celebrate the best in music over the last year. Tracee Ellis Ross will host the event, which airs on the same channel as her series “Blackish,” for the second year in a row. Along with giving out awards, the show will feature a slew of musical performances, as well.
Here’s everything you need to know about the 2018 American Music Awards:
When And Where Can You Watch?
The award show kicks off on ABC at 8 p.m. EDT and is expected to end around 11 p.m. EDT. Before the AMAs even begins, though, there’ll be a celebrity-filled red carpet show to enjoy. It starts at 6 p.m. EDT and will be live streamed on the official AMAs YouTube channel.
Which Celebrities Will Be Hosting, Performing And/Or Presenting?
While Ross will be hosting the main event, Laura Marano, Jessie James Decker, AJ Gibson, Scott Evans, Erika Jayne and Zach Sang will host the two-hour red carpet event. When the actual American Music Awards rolls around, viewers will see even more celebrity appearances.
Opening the show with her track “I Did Something Bad” is Taylor Swift. But that’s just the beginning. Some of the other performers are: Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, Panic! At The Disco, Camila Cabello, Ciara and Missy Elliott, Ella Mai, Benny Blanco with Halsey and Khalid, Dua Lipa, Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign, Shawn Mendes with Zedd and Twenty One Pilots.
There will also be a performance of “I Like It” with Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin, as well as an Aretha Franklin tribute. Gladys Knight, CeCe Winans, Mary Mary, Ledisi and Donnie McClurkin will take part in that production.
When it comes to AMAs presenters, the list is long and full of a bunch of fan favorites: Kelsea Ballerini, Vanessa Hudgens, John Stamos, Tyra Banks, Normani, Lenny Kravitz, Kathryn Hahn, Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line, Constance Wu, Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson-Ross, Rita Ora, Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Taran Killam and Leighton Meester, Heidi Klum, Chloe x Halle, Macaulay Culkin, Billy Eichner, Amandla Stenberg, Lauren Daigle, Sara Gilbert, Amber Heard, Liza Koshy, Busy Philipps, The Chainsmokers and the “Bohemian Rhapsody” cast, which includes Rami Malek, Joseph Mazzello and Gwilym Lee.
